Clark-Teasers

We'd a wonderful time with the Clark Family!  After church,  this sweet family helped us pick up a sofa and loveseat I found on craiglist!   ( Yes, the one pictured on this blogpost) Thank you so much you guys!  Then, we headed to Old Town Temecula.  Nearly every shot the girls were saying....  CANDY!   Only to find the candy store closed! Oh no!  Made a note to self to bring some with me!  We ended up getting a bite to eat after our shoot, so everyone was happy!

It doesn't get much better than that! Church+ friends + photography= happy heart!   So many pictures I want to post...so little time.  More to come soon, for the Clarks and Addisons

Addisons- Teaser

This family is very close to my heart!   I can't even begin to describe what a blessing the Addisons are to our family! We probably owe them our firstborn, but I think they got a house full!  It was challenging to shoot at this location.  There were a gazillion other photographers there competing for the spots.  One photographer was so nice to agree to trade spots, but most were territorial.  It was a fun day!  There is a lot of love to go around in this family!

What to wear in a photography session

I get asked this question a lot....There is much written about this subject online, so I won't bore you with a long post.  This is my opinion followed by some fun visual inspiration I found on PINTEREST.
  • I recommend complementing outfits over matching.
  • Avoid wording in t-shirts, busy prints, as well as cartoon characters.
  • Something you're comfortable wearing, yet still reflecting your style and personality.
  • Accessories are fun!
  • No gum.

More advice:

Your session is likely to last  between 1-2 hours.   If you have young children, it's nice to have drinks & snacks on hand.  A favorite toy or book can make a huge difference!  Sometimes breaks during the shoot is necessary.  It's my goal to help everyone feel comfortable and capture your family in the best light possible.

Some people are naturally more comfortable with the camera, than others. Everyone feels a degree of nervousness, including the photographer.    Don't worry about being perfect, or having perfectly still children. They won't be.   In fact, I absolutely encourage you to interact with your family. Some of best shots are not posed.

Do communicate your ideas to the photographer, before and during your session!

I loved these inspiration pins!
